Scholarships
A variety of scholarships are available to accounting majors from several sources.
Regional & National Accounting Scholarships
Many professional accounting organizations offer scholarships to students (or their student members). A list of several scholarship opportunities is posted in this Excel Spreadsheet. The application deadlines and amounts for these scholarships vary.
MAcc Scholarships & Fellowships
Master of Accountancy students enrolled full time in UCA's Master of Accountancy program may apply for MAcc scholarships or fellowships. The fellowships pay approximately $600 per semester for Fall and Spring and are funded by generous donations from BKD, LLP; Bell & Co.; Donna S. Stephens, LTD; Hudson, Cisne, & Co. LLP; and Thomas & Thomas, LLP. In addition, the Windstream Excellence in Industry Scholarship in the amount of $3750 per semester is available to one student for the Fall and Spring. To apply, complete the scholarship application and turn it into BBA309. The application deadline is the first Monday of the Fall and Spring semesters.
Foundation Scholarships
UCA Foundation scholarships are made possible by private contributions. As reflected by the donors gifts and interest, the criteria and dollar value for each scholarship varies considerably. View a list of Foundation scholarships and get application forms for some of these at the UCA Foundation Web site. The deadline for most of these scholarships is in mid-March for the following academic year.
