Welcome to the UCA STEM Institute

Welcome! The UCA STEM Institute focuses on professional development and outreach to STEM teachers and students throughout central Arkansas. The Institute offers a variety of programs and resources throughout the year. Information on resources and projects can be found using the menu above.

Hours of availability

During the Fall 2025 semester, the STEM Institute is open Tuesday and Thursday 8 am – 12 pm and 1pm – 4:00 pm. You can schedule a visit outside of these hours by emailing, or calling the Institute. Someone is usually available to help you on these Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If no one is available in the STEM Institute, you can call the math department at 501-450-3147.

Summer Camps

The STEM Institute offered a number of summer camps in Summer 2025, and we will offer camps again in Summer 2026. Information will be available around January 2026. Visit our Summer Camps page to learn more.

Professional Development and School Outreach

The STEM Institute frequently partners with schools on professional development and enrichment activities for students. The Institute hosts a wide range of activities and resources and partners with a variety of content experts. Contact the Institute to discuss possible partnerships.

Resources

The STEM Institute houses an extensive collection of resources, consisting of manipulative, classroom kits, consumable materials, technology resources, robotics, lesson kits, print materials, and more. Checkout is free for any K-12 teacher or UCA faculty and students. Hours for the current semester can be found here. The links below contain a list of materials available for checkout, as well as online and virtual resources for teachers and parents.
