Q: Where are you from? 
A: I am originally from Brockport, NY, and worked for five years as a School Counselor in upstate New York before coming to UCA in the summer of 2000.

Q: What did you study in college? Why did you choose that degree?
A: I have a B.S. in Psychology from SUNY Brockport, an M.S. Ed in School Counseling and a C.A.S. in School Counseling from Niagara University. I chose to go into student services because I love helping students.

Q: What is your favorite place on campus?  Why?
A: My favorite places on campus have to be the Student Center and the HPER Center. It’s always great to see those places buzzing with student activity.

Q: What do you like to do in Conway?
A: There are many fun things to do in Conway, but one of my family’s favorites is to enjoy the outdoor movies shown in Toad Suck Square throughout the summer by the Silver Moon Cinema. We, of course, also love Toad Suck Daze and the "Stuck-On-A-Truck" competition in particular!

Q: What parts of admissions counseling do you enjoy?
A: My absolute passion is helping students with the critical transition from high school to college. I also particularly enjoy helping students learn about the many scholarship, grant, and loan forgiveness programs available out there to help them pay for their college education. I love being in high school classrooms, talking with juniors and seniors about the many terrific academic programs and student organizations available to them here at the University. It’s also satisfying to see some of those same students come to visit campus on Bear Facts Days in order to investigate for themselves what we have to offer their academic future.

Advice to Prospective Students

 The biggest piece of advice that I have for prospective students is to ask lots of questions! We realize that this is a brand new experience for you and do not expect you to know everything coming in. Call us, email us, or come visit us in person. The faculty and staff here are eager to help you get to where you want to be!
