The Division of Academic Outreach and the College of Education at the University of Central Arkansas are now partners with AETN and PBS TeacherLine to offer graduate credit for approved TeacherLine courses.

Arkansas teachers can now complete professional development courses online that apply toward their license renewal through AETN PBS TeacherLine. These online courses support the heightened expectations for professional development mandated by the No Child Left Behind legislation of 2002. Specifically, these courses give teachers the tools they will need to:

ALIGN...
professional development with actual practice and use student assessments as the basis for discussion and analysis

BUILD...
content knowledge and pedagogical skills as a means of improving student outcomes

LEARN...
and apply research-based teaching strategies

INTEGRATE...
technology into curricula in ways that nurture student achievement

MEET...
national educational standards

AETN PBS TeacherLine courses are available as 2 hour graduate-level credit hour courses (30 contact hours) and 3 hour graduate-level (45 contact hours) courses.

The UCA tuition and fees for AETN PBS TeacherLine courses cost a total of $239.50 per graduate credit hour. AETN PBS TeacherLine graduate level courses may be applied toward teacher licensure renewal. At this time, AETN PBS TeacherLine course credits cannot be applied toward UCA graduate degree programs of study.
