There is a $10 price break for each kid that
registers in a group of 5 or more. Please have the medical release form
completed along with your payment in order to complete the registration process
when you arrive. Please arrive early so that the camp start time will not be
delayed.

The campers will be placed into groups
based on age and ability. Players will be introduced to proper techniques of
passing, setting, hitting, serving, etc. This camp focuses on the overall
improvement of the individual through drills and personal instruction. Team
play will also be introduced. Each player gets 18 hours of on-court
instruction.

camp will focus on proper technique in all skills and advancing these skills to
a higher level of play. The focus will primarily be on the individual, but
competitive team play will also be involved. Each player will receive 18 hours
of on-court instruction.

hitting and defense. Campers will be introduced to multiple types of hits and
will get plenty of repetitions with 9 hours of on-court instruction over these
two days. Coach McRoberts coached 8 All-American
middle blockers/outside hitters in his 8 years at LCU.

Steven McRoberts

Head Coach Steven McRoberts is entering his first year at the helm of the
University of Central
Arkansas volleyball program. The North Little Rock,
Ark.
native brings a tremendous amount of coaching success to the Sugar Bears, and
will try to end a run of 10 consecutive losing
seasons. UCA went 14-16 last season and 5-7 in the Gulf South
Conference-West. Three starters and five letter-winners return from the squad
that tied for fourth place in 2004. McRoberts
compiled a 251-82 (.754 winning percentage) record during his eight-year tenure
at Lubbock Christian
University in Texas. The Lady Chaps reached the
post-season and finished in the NAIA Top 20 every season from 1998 to 2003. In
1998, McRoberts guided LCU to a 38-4 record and a
fifth-place finish at the national tournament. He won the Sooner Athletic
Conference Coach of the Year award six times and NAIA Region VI Coach of the
Year three times. The Lady Chaps won seven straight conference titles under McRoberts’ guidance. McRoberts has coached 14 NAIA All-Americans, 28 All-Region
players and 36 All-Conference selections. His teams have done equally well in
the classroom, producing nine Academic All-Americans. He also started both the men’s and women’s golf programs at Lubbock
Christian.
No stranger to Arkansas, McRoberts
is a graduate of Central
Arkansas Christian
High School. He received
his bachelor’s in kinesiology with a minor in social studies and health from
Harding University
in 1993 and his masters in physical education from
Henderson State
in 1996. McRoberts and his wife, Stacy, have a
six-month old son named Jackson.
Other Camp coaches will include UCA's assistant coach Todd Hay,
Todd Hay joined Steven McRoberts' coaching staff in January of 2006.
Hay comes to UCA from Trinity
Christian High School
in Lubbock,
Texas where he served as head volleyball
coach from 1998 to 2005. During his tenure at Trinity Christian, Hay compiled a
record of 254-56 in eight seasons. He was named District Coach of the Year four
times and guided Trinity to three 4A state titles, including back-to-back
championships in 2004 and 2005. In 2004, Hay led Trinity Christian to a
40-4 record and followed up with a 41-7 mark in 2005. TCHS was 31-1 in 1999 and
won their first ever state title. Hay guided Trinity to the state semi-finals
on two other occasions. Hay has many other awards among his career,
including two-time Lubbock Avalanche Journal City Coach of the Year, Texas
Association of Private and Parochial Schools 4A Coach of the Year and KJAK 92.7
Coach of the Year. He has coached 12 All-State players and six District MVP
winners during his career. Besides coaching volleyball, Hay was a history
teacher at Trinity Christian for 13 years. He has served as the junior high
volleyball coach from 1994-96, assistant junior high basketball coach from
1993-2005, assistant track coach and assistant golf coach. He was also Trinity
Christian's assistant high school basketball coach when they won the 4A
Championship in 1998-99. Hay has several years experience working camps
at Lubbock
Christian University
and Trinity Christian. Hay earned his bachelor's in education with a
minor in physical education from the
University
of Hawaii at Manoa in 1992.
