Enrollment in each of the three concurrent sessions of the three-year program is limited. Prospective participants are encouraged to register as early as possible. Attendees receive 1.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for each year's attendance.
REGISTRATION
Cost for attending the Institute is $600 per individual until June 14, 2008, which covers the entire week of institute sessions, materials, refreshments, and special event. After June 14, 2008, the late registration fee is $650. Check-in will be held at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m., on Monday, August 4, 2008. Final payments are due by July 11, 2008, unless prior arrangements are made. Full refunds will be issued for cancellations received on or before July 11, 2008. Cancellations made after July 11, 2008 will be charged a $50 administration fee.

Conway, Arkansas 72035 EARN GRADUATE CREDIT AND RECEIVE A MASTERS DEGREE
The CDI curriculum is now linked to UCA's Master of Science in Community Devleopment (MSCED) graduate degree program. CDI participants may earn graduate credit toward completion of the MSCED program during CDI by completing all prescribed CDI sessions during the week. Those who seek the credit course option must be admitted to graduate school and pay the required credit course registration. To register online to UCA Graduate School go to www.uca.edu/admissions. Please note: There is no out-of-state tuition for this program. All students pay only in-state tuition.
Participants who choose the degree credit course option will pay only $500 for CDI registration and $235 for tuition and fees for the credit course, making the total cost of CDI attendance with the credit option $735. A one-time $25 graduate application will be charged for participants who have not been admitted to graduate school.
SCHEDULECDI sessions will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2008 and will end following the luncheon at 12 noon, Friday, August 8, 2008. A required special event is planned for Monday evening. There will be an optional event on Wednesday afternoon.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
Only participants who attend ALL sessions will receive credit for the Institute. No excuses for absence other than illness or family/business emergency will be accepted. If illness or emergency causes a participant to miss more than 10 percent of the class sessions, credit for course completion cannot be given.
PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPER TEST
The Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED) test will be offered Wednesday afternoon after the CDI luncheon and Friday afternoon following the closing luncheon. Testing fee is $150, with checks payable on-site to the Community Development Council. Advance authorization and pre-registration for the test are required 30 days in advance. LOCATION
CDI will be held in the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. The Conference Center is a state-of-the-art facility that offers comfortable and stimulating environment, the latest communications and multi-media technology. The facility features a Teleconference and Business Center, conference room internet connections, audio/visual equipment, and full-service catering by Aramark's Classic Fare Catering. The campus is located 30 miles northwest of Little Rock, directly off I-40.
The University of Central Arkansas is more than just buildings and location, it is excellent faculty and outstanding staff all working together, creating an educational environment that produces excellent students.
Campus Housing Available: Reservations can be made to stay on the UCA campus and partake of the meals offered in Christian Cafeteria. Total cost for room and meals will be less than $40 a day! For campus housing, you will need to furnish your own linens/TV/telephone, etc. Make reservations by contacting mklotz@uca.edu no later than June 15, 2008.
