GRADUATE CREDIT

The CDI curriculum is now linked to UCA's Master of Science in Community Devleopment (MSCED) graduate degree program.  CDI participants may earn graduate credit toward completion of the MSCED program by completing all prescribed CDI sessions, a short research project, and a final examination within one month following the summer Institute.  The graduate course, available to all first-year participants, is MSCED 6310 - Community and Economic Development Seminar.  The rest of the MSCED graduate degree can be pursued in various forms of distance learning.  An individualized program schedule will be provided for those interested in completing the MSCED degree.  Participants may earn up to nine credit hours of the degree by completing Years 1-3 of CDI.  Second or third year CDI participants may also garner graduate credit hours.  Those who seek the credit course option  must be admitted to graduate school and pay the required credit course registration.  To request a graduate school application and enrollment agreement call Carla Blue at (501) 450-5274, or visit our web site at www.uca.edu/aoep/cdi for these forms, which may be printed and faxed or mailed back with the CDI registration form.  Participants who choose the degree credit option will pay only $250 for CDI registration and $720 for tuition and fees for the credit course, making the total cost of CDI attendance with the credit option $970.  A one time $25 graduate application will be charged for participants who have not been admitted to graduate school.
