Title: Alumni Circle

Description: site specific piece that was commissioned to honor the alumni of
UCA during the centennial celebration in 2007. A nationwide
search was carried out to find an artist to create a space that was
functional as well as commemorative. Leicester was one of four
finalists out of 149 submissions from 32 states. The other finalists
were Alice Adams, Jackie Ferrara, and Barbara Grygutis.
Leicester's design reflects the history of the campus and maintains
Alumni Circle as a recreational and social area for students. The
area is intended for daytime as well as night time use, and will
incorporate green technology into the final installation.
