I am a field botanist with training in plant taxonomy, cryptogamic botany, and plant anatomy. My research interests lie in vascular plant floristics, particularly in Arkansas. Publications include work with restoration of prairie vegetation used in roadside maintenance, and the study of Pilularia populations as they occur in Arkansas. I am Curator of the UCA vascular plant herbarium (16,000 specimens), and Director of the 8-acre Jewel E. Moore Nature Reserve (5 acres of virgin prairie surrounded by a southern red oak/sweet gum forest), located on the UCA campus.
