Field and laboratory components of my research concentrate on plant evolutionary genetics, the genetics of plant populations and, to a lesser degree, the systematic relationships among certain plant taxa. I currently employ morphological, cytological, and isoenzyme electrophoretic analytical methods. I am evaluating restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLP) and random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) techniques as potential tools to increase the accuracy and efficiency of my work.
