Department of BiologyFaculty
After a few years at the bench as a medical technologist, a masters degree in medical technology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and a doctoral degree in medical technology from the Catholic University of America, I decided that making human biology accessible to everyone was my main interest. My med tech experience, my research experience in anti-malarial drugs testing, and my years as workshop instructor in recombinant DNA technology courses have allowed me to develop a broad base that makes me comfortable teaching any of these areas and placing them under a human perspective. A firm believer in proactive behavior and with invested interest in education (I am mother of three school-age children), I am also a Board member of St. Joseph Catholic Schools and chair of their grant writing committee. I believe it is in our interest to invest in our children's education. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES: Registered member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists since 1978. COURSES TAUGHT: Microbiology in Human Affairs; Human Anatomy and Physiology; General Microbiology and Immunology. |
