Welcome to the UCA Biology Department

The mission of the UCA Biology Department is to promote, enhance, and contribute to the science of biology by offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs, engaging in biological research, and actively assisting the individuals and organizations of our community. Our greatest asset from the student's perspective is probably that UCA's biology faculty are genuinely dedicated to teaching excellence. They maintain high standards and arrange for students to acquire significant exposure to state-of-the art instrumentation and methods in their courses. Our faculty are all deducated to keeping current in their fields. Many are actively engaged in research funded by various agencies, and most of these projects include opportunities for student involvement. All biology majors have a biology faculty member for an academic advisor. Contact me or any of the faculty if you would like more information about our Department, the University, or the Conway area. Please consider a visit to our campus to learn more about UCA and what we have to offer.
