Annual Giving Clubs
The Annual Fund Campaign is an ongoing campaign that provides regular, annual support to the university. It is the primary campaign through which alumni and friends make gifts to UCA. Gifts are generated through the phonathon, direct mail and personal solicitation.
Most gifts through the Annual Fund are not restricted to any area by the donor. These gifts are designated as Margin of Excellence gifts and used to support the annual budget of the Foundation and where the needs are the greatest. The Annual Fund helps shape UCA's future by providing funding for a variety of opportunities. Gifts to the Margin of Excellence Fund support the area of greatest need as determined by the President, the Board of Trustees and the UCA Foundation Board of Directors.
While undesignated gifts made to the Margin of Excellence Fund are the core of our fundraising efforts, we recognize that some donors prefer to direct their gifts to a special program or project. These gifts are very important to the university. You may direct your gift to an academic department, athletics program, student services' program or to an endowed scholarship.
Annual gifts can qualify you for membership into one of several giving clubs. They include:
- Presidents Club: Open to those who contribute $1,000 or more during a calendar year. Presidents Club members are among the key supporters of the university and play a vital role in UCA's quest to provide the best educational opportunities for its students. Club members are special guests of the President at campus events throughout the year and are recognized on the Presidents Club plaque on the Donor Wall. Also, on $1,000 scholarship per semester is awarded to a deserving student annually in honor and recognition of our top giving club members. The recipient of the scholarship will be designated as the Presidents Club Scholar. There are five levels within the Presidents Club that are used to recognize the commitment of each member. The levels are named in honor of some of the past presidents of the University and include:
- Farris Club $1,000 - $2,499
- Snow Club $2,500 - $4,999
- Irby Club $5,000 - $9,999
- McAlister Club $10,000 - $24,999
- Torreyson Club $25,000 and above
- University Club: Membership is offered to donors who make annual gifts totaling $500 to $999. A $500 scholarship per semester is awarded to a student annually in honor and recognition of University Club members. The recipient of the scholarship is known as the University Club Scholar.
- Deans Club: The Deans Club members include donors who make annual gifts totaling $250 to $499. A $250 scholarship per semester is awarded to a student, the Deans Club Scholar, annually in honor and recognition of Deans Club members.
- Coffee Club: Coffee Club members give an annual gift of $125 to $249. A $125 scholarship per semester is awarded to a student named the Coffee Club Scholar in honor and recognition of the Coffee Club members.
