Digital Filmmaking MFA Program
The Master of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking
is a three-year, 60 credit hour terminal degree. The program
emphasizes production skills through both a series of production
seminars and the thesis project. In addition, students
are required to take courses in writing, history, and theory
in order to create a more well rounded education. Full
time students are expected to take nine credits a semester.
Students complete two years of full time course work. In
their third year, students write, direct, produce, and
edit a thesis film (approximately 30 minutes).
Financial Aid: Students may be eligible
for graduate assistantships. Information about other forms
of financial aid, including loans, may be obtained from
UCA's Financial Aid Office, 501- 450-3140. Students receiving
graduate assistantships and other forms of financial aid
should contact the Financial Aid Office to determine their
combined financial package.
Graduate Assistantships: To qualify for
an assistantship, a student should have achieved an excellent
academic record and completed substantial course work in
the major field. The number of graduate assistantships
offered is based on available funding. Students interested
in a graduate assistantship should complete a graduate
assistantship application and submit it with the graduate
school application.
