Martha Antolik

Martha Antolik, mezzo-soprano, has been a Regional Finalist twice in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions in the Gulf Coast and Mid-South Regions. She has sung and acted in summer stock with the Starlight Theater in Indianapolis, IN, and has been an Apprentice Artist with the Santa Fe Opera Company. She also has soloed with many regional orchestras and opera companies including the Memphis Symphony, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Fort Smith Symphony, Birmingham Civic Opera, Lake Charles Symphony, New Orleans Symphony and Opera, Opera Theater at Wildwood, and has toured Spain as alto soloist in performances of Handel’s Messiah. She recently appeared on the program of the National NATS Convention where she performed Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen with the UCA Faculty Chamber Ensemble.

Dr. Antolik received a DMA degree at the University of Memphis, an MM degree at Louisiana State University, and a BA at Samford University. She was cited in the Arkansas Times as Soloist of the Year for her performance with the Arkansas Symphony in Verdi Requiem. She is the former President of the Arkansas Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and has served on its Regional Board of Control. Her students have won numerous competitions including the State and Regional Metropolitan Opera Auditions, the National Society of Arts and Letters competition, NATS Regional and State student competitions. They have also appeared as soloists with the Sarasota Opera, Knoxville Opera, Opera Birmingham, Semperoper Dresden, the Arkansas Symphony, the Greater Miami Dade Equity Theater, Lost Colony Summer Musicals, and the Arkansas Repertory Theater.
