The UCA Wind Ensemble will present a concert on October 7th in Reynolds Performance Hall at 7:30pm. Guest Conductor for two selections on the program is Dr. Joe Missal, Director of Bands at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Missal will be on the UCA campus two days giving clinics and speaking to music classes. Dr. Blake Tyson, UCA Percussion professor, will be guest soloist on the djembe, a West African skin covered hand drum, shaped like a large goblet, and meant to be played with bare hands. Marie Pokorski will conduct the ensemble as Graduate Conducting Intern. The concert is open and free to the public. High School groups are invited to attend.
