Orchestral Program
The Orchestral Program at the University of Central Arkansas
offers students an opportunity to continue to expand their
performance experience through a wide variety of instrumental
ensembles. The ensembles are open to any qualified UCA student
and are composed of students of all majors and disciplines.
Academic credit is available for participation. Students
who are interested in joining the UCA Chamber Orchestra
and experienced musicians who want to be a part of the Conway
Symphony Orchestra should contact Director of Orchestras,
Mr. Israel Getzov, at 501-450-5761 or israelg@uca.edu for
more information.
UCA Chamber Orchestra
The UCA Chamber Orchestra is made up of UCA students from
many academic areas. The orchestra performs several concerts
throughout the year in Conway, in addition to touring during
the fall semester.
Conway Symphony Orchestra
The Conway Symphony Orchestra includes members of the UCA
music faculty, students, alumni, and other musicians from
the central Arkansas area. The CSO performs two classical
programs, a Christmas concert, a pops concert, and several
educational concerts every season. It is a great opportunity
for students to develop their orchestral repertoire and
to play side-by-side with professional musicians.
Wind and percussion instrumentalists may also perform in
UCA's bands or wind ensemble. Visit the UCA Band Page for
more information about the UCA Band Program.
