The Tradition and You

All workshops in this series will be held in the Writing Center, Thompson 109 from 6:00-7:00 pm. The Tradition and You is a three-part crash course that examines the techniques and tools of classic literature for use in the student's creative writing. Created and hosted by Writing Center GA Whitney Jones and Aimee Davis, this crash course offers the student a look at how to "make it new." Call 450-5123 or drop by Thompson 109 to sign up.

February 26: A look at satire, mood, Medieval poetry, dialogue,

stream-of-consciousness, and "The Waste Land"

February  27: Bring excerpts from your favorite classics to

discuss, and we'll practice re-making them.

February 28: Discuss your own attempts to add to the

tradition.
