Kate Henning is an Instructor in
the Department of Writing and Speech and the new Resident
Master for State Residential College. Henning has earned her
Ph.D. in Communication Studies, with an
emphasis in Rhetoric and Language, at the University
of Texas at Austin. Henning received her M.A. in English
with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Composition from
the University of North Texas in Denton and her B.A.
in English from the University of Central Arkansas.
She has taught full time with UCA for the last three
years in the Department of Writing and Speech. Henning's
academic interests are: the microethnography of human
interaction, conversation analysis, and discourse
studies.
