Message from President Lu Hardin
Welcome to the University of Central Arkansas. If you are unfamiliar with UCA, let me take just a brief moment to describe it to you. The campus is a unique mix of Georgian-style architecture and up-to-date technology. With the Ozark foothills to the north and the state capital to the south, UCA is centrally located in Conway, one of the fastest growing cities in the state.
The University is more than just buildings and location, it's excellent faculty and outstanding staff all working together, creating an educational environment that produces excellent students. Our students leave UCA with the knowledge and skills necessary for life-long success in the twenty-first century.
UCA develops the economy and workforce of Conway
The future of the University of Central Arkansas and the City of Conway are inextricably tied together. UCA, founded in 1907, has evolved from a teachers college with 100 students to the state's second largest university, with 12,650 students. And UCA has evolved in athletics, from three football national championships in the NAIA to its current Division I athletic program. [more]
