UCA Development

Private gifts are used to provide scholarships, faculty development, academic support, capital needs, support for the UCA Foundation, and special projects and programs. Giving to the University of Central Arkansas through the UCA Foundation ensures a standard of excellence that otherwise would not be possible. The support of UCA’s extended community of alumni, faculty, staff, corporations, foundations, and friends provides resources for important programs, outstanding faculty, facility improvements and most importantly, helps make a UCA education a reality for thousands of students.

There has been a misconception that UCA’s entire budget is provided through state appropriations but in reality, only 43 percent of the budget comes from the state. The remainder must come from tuition and private dollars. The percentage of state appropriations is likely to decrease in these difficult economic times, which is why UCA must rely on support from private gifts now more than ever.
