Q. Why does the University need my donation?
A. The UCA Foundation provides financial resources to the University for projects, scholarships, and faculty grants that are not covered by the funding the University receives from the State of Arkansas.  This support means that educational opportunities are provided and expanded through donations to the UCA Foundation.

Q.  How can I make a gift?
A.  You can make a gift of cash, check, credit card, stock or real estate.  A Development Officer would be happy to meet with you to discuss the best way for you to make a gift to the UCA Foundation.

Q.  How will my gift by recognized?
A.  Your gift will be recognized through one of the giving levels listed on this website.  In addition, your name will be printed in the Alumni Contact in the annual Honor Roll of Donors list.

Q.  Are there any special funds or campaigns that I can contribute to directly?
A.  There are many funds established in the UCA Foundation.  The Margin of Excellence Fund provides overall support to the University where the needs are greatest.  To designate to a specific fund, please include the fund name on your personal check or on a note with your personal check.

Q.  How do I start an endowment fund?
A.  The minimum amount required for establishment of an endowment is $10,000.  Please contact the UCA Foundation at 501-450-5288 if you would like to discuss establishing an endowment in the UCA Foundation.

Q.  How will my gift be used?
A.  You gift will be used to support the work of the UCA Foundation in creating the best University in the state.  A gift to the Margin of Excellence fund is the best way to make sure your gift is used in the area where most help is needed.

Q.  How can I find out if my employer offers a matching gift program?
A.  Ask your company’s human resources department or visit our website at www.uca.edu/matchinggifts .

Q. How do I notify my company that I made a gift?
A.  Processes vary by company, but in many cases you can obtain a matching gift form from your human resources department and send the form along with your gift to the university’s foundation.  The university will then contact your company for the matched gift.  Contact your company’s human resources department to find out their policy for matching gifts.

Q. Does my matched gift qualify my company or me for special recognition?
A.  Yes. Your matched gift will make you eligible for recognition in certain giving levels that are listed annually in the Alumni Contact and on this website.  Your company also will receive recognition in the publication.
