University of Central ArkansasCollege of Education2008-2009 Leadership InitiativeYear 2 Graduate FellowshipsThe University of Central Arkansas, College of Education will offer Graduate Fellowships for the second year beginning fall 2008 to outstanding educators. The College of Education Leadership Initiative is a special collaborative offered to targeted school districts to assist them in developing effective leadership potential in their districts. College of Education Graduate Fellowships are available for currently employed educators who are new (students who have not received a graduate fellowship) graduate students seeking Master's degrees or graduate level licensure in School Leadership, Management, and Administration (6 graduate credit hours), School Counseling (9 graduate credit hours), and Curriculum and Instruction programs (6 graduate credit hours). Fellowships are valid for one academic year - fall through summer. Candidates may only participate in one incentive program (e.g., Presidential Fellowship) at a time. Candidate who received the graduate fellowship for 2007-2008 will not be eligible for the fellowship for a second year. There will be a limited number of fellowships so students are encouraged to apply early. Geographic location of student will be considered when granting fellowships. School districts are welcome to nominate leadership candidates, or candidates may nominate themselves for consideration.

5. If you need to take the GRE, go to http://www.GRE.org or call Prometric Candidate Services (http://www.prometric.com) in Little Rock at 1.800.853.6773. Please note that Little Rock may not be your closest location for taking the GRE. Only the General Test section of the GRE must be taken.
