The Graduate Council met in regular session on September 19, 2002 in BBA 220. Members present: J. Arn, K. Atkinson, S. Butcher, D. Dussourd, D. Jones, D. Kim, J. Lamar, J. Lammers, B. Melchior, J. Murphy, J. Showell, G. Thurman, S. Vanderslice, and D. Whistler. Members absent: E. Fox, P. Hamilton, A. Picou, and S. Stroman

1. Approval of minutes from July 16, 2002.

II. Graduate Faculty Application:

Recommendation to approve SLMA curriculum changes approved unanimously.

MBA Curiculum Changes:

GMAT requirement (400 to 450) for entrance into the MBA program

Recommendation to approve was unanimous.

IV. Staffing Plan for MS in Training Systems

Recommendation to approve was unanimous.

22. Scott Brezee, a graduate student in Health Sciences, was elected to be the student representative for the Graduate Council.

VI. Information Item

Christina Marie Barrett, a doctoral student in Physical Therapy, was presented the Robert McLauchlin Memorial Scholarship.
