Geog  1315     (Intro. to Physical Geography)

Geog  1320     (Intro. to Human Geography)

Pol. Sci. 1330  (U. S. government & Politics)

Pol. Sci. 2340  (State & Local Government)

Soc  1300        (Principles of Sociology)

 

History Electives (12 hours  - 6 from U. S.,  6 from World)

(History 4310 MAY NOT be used as an history elective)

 

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION COURSES FOR TEACHER CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must be admitted to teacher education to enroll in the following courses. 

Must pass Praxis II Contents before admission to internship.

Must be admitted to teacher education to enroll in the following courses.

Must have acceptable Praxis II Social Studies scores before registering for Internship II.

HIST  4681   History Internship II

 

Other Requirements:

 

40 hours at 3000 or 4000 level after student has 45 hours with a GPA of 1.5 or higher

 

A GPA of 2.5 or better in: (1) all coursework attempted; (2( subject area of student learning;

(3) teaching area in which certification is desired.

 

Transfer or Post BAC GPA counts for admission to program.

 

No grade below C accepted in major courses.
