REQUIREMENTS FOR THE B.A. AND B.S. DEGREE IN HISTORY

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH DEGREES:  (39 hours including 15 upper division)

History 1310  (World History I)

History 1320  (World History II)

History 2301  (American Nation I)

History 2302  (American Nation II)

History 2320  (Historical Research/Methods)

History 4300  (Seminar) must have 21 hrs completed

21 hours of electives, at least 6 from American and 6 from world

Other Requirements:

124 semester hours with a GPA of not less than 2.00 (cumulative and on UCA coursework)

  40 hours of 3000 or 4000 level after student has 45 hours with a GPA of 1.5 or higher

GPA of 2.00 or better in each of the major and minor fields (cumulative and on UCA course work)

B.A. Degree Requirements:

Nine semester hours of a foreign language or three semester hours of a modern foreign language on the 2000 level or above. 

B.S. Degree Requirements:

Two acceptable math or two acceptable Lab Science Courses beyond General Education.
