CURRICULUM  &  ASSESSMENT  COMMITTEE

 

Duties: 

Review and make recommendations to the dean on 1) new undergraduate and graduate courses; 2) new undergraduate and graduate programs; 3) changes in departmental major and minor programs; 4) studies and policies relevant to general education requirements; 5) matters relating to grading and academic standards. The chair of this committee serves on the Academic Planning and Assessment Committee.

Composition:

Seven (7) members, one elected from each department, to serve three-year staggered terms, plus a chair appointed by the dean from the committee membership. Appointments should adhere to the following restrictions:

              1)           One member from each department

              2)           No more than two department chairs

              3)           A chair appointed by the dean from the committee membership for a two-year term
