Dr. Todd Alden Marshall has a B.A. in French/General Linguistics and a Ph.D. in Slavic Linguistics with a minor in General Linguistics, which he completed at Cornell University in 2002. Dr. Marshall has taught Russian, Slavic Linguistics, and General Linguistics at Cornell University and St. Lawrence University in Upstate New York.
At UCA Dr. Marshall teaches French 1310/1320 and Russian 1310, 1320, and 2310. For the academic year 2005-2006 Dr. Marshall will be working as the Interim Director for the Humanities and World Cultures Institute.
Dr. Marshall’s research interests are Discourse Analysis and Pragmatics. He is also very interested in Second Language Acquisition and Dialectology.
