Aleksandra Opala

Aleksandra Opala was born and raised in Upper Silesia, a region in Poland where Polish and German cultures are heavily mixed. She graduated with an M.A. in German Philology from the University of Opole, Poland in 2002. During the 1998-1999 school year, Aleksandra studied Modern German Literature at Friedrich-Alexander University, in Erlangen-Nurnberg, Germany as a German Academic Exchange Service Scholarship (DAAD) scholar.

While living in Poland, she played an active role in the Social and Cultural Society of the German Minority in Silesia and Society for German-Polish Understanding.

Aleksandra joined UCA in Fall 2004.
