Public Administration Program: Major Curriculum
I. Required Core Curriculum
Each Public Administration student must complete the following courses (39 hours).

II. Areas of Special Emphasis
A total of twenty-one [21] hours must be completed in addition to the core requirements. Each student shall complete a minimum of six [6] hours in two of the following three areas of special emphasis: (a) Public Management; (b) Public Policy; and (c) Planning. Students shall also complete nine [9] hours of electives selected from any of the following areas (21 hours).

Since students majoring in Public Administration are working toward completion of a Bachelor of Science degree, they shall fulfill their specific B.S. degree requirements in Math or Science by completing 9 hours of Mathematics, including: MATH 1390 College Algebra or MATH 1395 Applied Calculus for Business and Economics, and MATH 2311 Statistical Methods I.
Electives in Mathematics include: MATH 1360 Mathematics in Society, MATH 1392 Plane Trigonometry, and MATH 1591 Calculus I.
