COUNCIL OF DEANS
January 22, 2001
The Council of Deans met in special session at 9:30 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2001, in the Provost's Conference Room. John Mosbo presided, and the following council members were present: Sam Buchanan, Bob Everding, Neil Hattlestad, Joe Horton, Maurice Lee, Jane McHaney, Sally Roden, and Ron Toll. Elaine McNiece was absent.
Buchanan presented the Graduate Council minutes of January 18.
Buchanan moved to recommend a Master of Science degree in Community Development. Lee seconded the motion. Following discussion, the motion passed unanimously.
Buchanan moved to recommend the MS in Community Development program and new course proposals as follows:

GEOG 5323 Geographic Information Systems

Mosbo brought up a question about the prerequisite of MSCD 6370. Buchanan revised his motion, and Lee seconded to recommend approval of the MS in CD program and courses contingent upon resolution of the question regarding 6370. The motion passed unanimously.
