COUNCIL OF DEANS

October 17, 2001

The Council of Deans met in regular session at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2001, in the Provost's Conference Room. Jonathan Glenn presided, and the following council members were present: Gabriel Esteban, Bob Everding, Neil Hattlestad, Maurice Lee, Jane McHaney, Elaine McNiece, Sally Roden, and Ron Toll. Sam Buchanan was attending an out-of-state conference.

Glenn requested that the deans furnish budget requests to the provost as soon as possible.

Glenn shared information regarding the works in progress of the Instructional Technology Advisory Committee. To assist that committee, Glenn asked deans to provide types of technology now being used by faculty, departments, and colleges. He also asked for information about annual expenditures and funding sources for technology from 1997 to the present. Deans suggested alternative sources for portions of the requested information.
