Agenda included:

1. Meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by Dr. Sally Roden, Chair
    
2. Motion was made by Dr. Zeltmann to recommend approval to change MATH 1396 – Calculus for the Life Sciences to MATH 1491 with a title change to Applied Calculus for the Life Sciences. Dr. Jarvis seconded the motion. Discussion followed. Dr. Ramesh Garimella, Chair of the Mathematics Department, was invited in to answer council questions. Discussion continued. Motion passed unanimously.
    
3. Motion was made by Dr. Jarvis to recommend approval of a new course RADG 4261 – Senior Seminars with minor bulletin revision. Dr. Hu seconded the motion. The new course would replace RADG 4160 and RADG 4161 which are to be deleted. Motion passed unanimously.
    
4. Motion was made by Dr. Whittingham to recommend approval of a new course SPAN 3360 – Drama-teatro: Staging Spanish One-Act Plays. Dr. Kuster seconded the motion. Discussion followed. Motion passed 6 yes, 1 no, 1 abstention.
    
5. SGA Resolution Grade Forgiveness Policy was presented to the council members by Haley Heath, SGA Executive President and Drew Aylesworth, SGA Executive Vice-President. The SGA asks that the revision to the Grade Forgiveness Policy read that a student may repeat in residence "a maximum of four courses in which a B, C, D, F, or WF grade is earned." Presentation of the policy was followed by discussion between the council members and the SGA representatives. The SGA representatives agreed to take the policy back to the students for additional discussion. Dr. Zeltmann made a motion to table the resolution. Dr. Whittingham seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
