2. Minutes of the October 17, 2006 meeting were approved as circulated.

3. Report of Subcommittee I – Richard Gaughan, Chair

Chair Gaughan moved to recommend approval of CHIN 1310 – Elementary Chinese I and CHIN 1320 – Elementary Chinese II. Dr. Bratton seconded the motion. Discussion followed. Motion passed 14 yes, 0 no and 1 abstention.

Chair Gaughan moved to recommend approval of PSCI 4348 – Governments and Politics of the Middle East. Dr. Witcher seconded the motion. Discussion followed. Motion passed unanimously.

Chair Gaughan moved to recommend approval of HIST 4302 – History of Witchcraft. Dr. Bratton seconded the motion. Discussion followed. Motion passed 13 yes, 1 no and 1 abstention.

4. Report of Subcommittee III – Steve Zeltmann, Chair

1. Delete ENGL 3611 – Travel Seminar in English Literature and replace with ENGL 4385/4685 – Travel Seminar in Literature.

2. Add SPAN 3315 – Topics in Hispanic Studies as an elective to the Latin American Studies minor.

3. Allow either RELG 1320 – World Religions or RELG 1330 – Exploring Religion to count as an elective toward the Religious Studies major and minor.

4. Change CHED 2303 – Special Topics to ECSE 2303 – Special Topics.

5. BMTE 4311 – Career Orientation conversion of existing traditional course to electronic delivery.
