Residence Halls
Arkansas Hall
Arkansas provides a community style living environment conducive to academic success, personal growth, and development of lasting friendships.
Why Choose Arkansas Hall?
Arkansas Hall offers a wonderful opportunity to interact with other male students. Considering that it is primarily a freshman hall, you have the opportunity to build relationships through being involved with intramural sports, hall council, and various other programs. Resident Assistants will live on your floor and interact with you on a personal level. Arkansas Hall residents are like family, once you become a part of it, you will never be forgotten.
What About Security?
Security is a shared responsibility between you and the University. UCA is committed to your safety and Arkansas Hall will provide you with an in-hall escort policy and 24-hour access to the UCA Police Department. You should always lock your room and keep your key, not loaning it to anyone else or hiding it somewhere in the building. Report potential security problems to residence hall staff or the police.

Students may personalize their rooms with items from home. Many residents add carpet or rugs, posters, curtains over windows, small tables, lounge chairs, storage units, televisions, computers, stereos, and refrigerators.

Staffing
A Residence Coordinator, who is a graduate student in the College Student Personnel Services & Administration masters program, lives in an apartment within the building and manages the Hall.
A Resident Assistant, who is an upperclass undergraduate student, lives on each floor. He or she will help the Residence Coordinator with administrative concerns, resolving conflicts, responding to crisis, enforcing University policies and helping residents with personal problems.
The front desk is staffed by Hall Assistants, who are undergraduate students, during the day and visitation hours. They monitor the lobby, act as a resource person, and serve as a receptionist.
Custodians clean common areas daily between 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The maintenance staff repairs routine problems from 8:00am to 4:45pm and is on call for emergencies.
How to Apply to Arkansas Hall?
You must first complete an application for housing and make a $100 housing deposit with the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The sooner this is done, the better the chances we have to accommodate your requests.
