There are nearly 100 recognized student organizations and many more that are not officially on the roster. Nearly every field of study has either an academic club or an honorary organization which students in that field can join. These give students the chance to interact with others in their same degree field.
If an academic organization is not to your liking, there are many special interest organizations you can join, such as the Students for the Propagation of Black Culture, Women Involved In Guiding Students or Students Taking Action Against Rape. Or you can make your voice heard by joining the staff of one of the campus publications, the Echo, Scroll or Vortex.
There are also many organizations devoted to religious affiliations, like the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship, TNT, Catholic Campus Ministry or the Association of Baptist Students.
And, of course, what would college be without a Greek system? The Greek organizations on the UCA campus offer students not just a place for social activities, but also a family away from home. And nearly all the Greek organizations offer academic support groups for college success.
