What better way to do this than through sports.
The sports programs at the University of Central Arkansas allow students a way to compete with one another in a friendly atmosphere of trust and team work.
Students involved in the sports programs are encouraged to grow not only physically, but mentally as well, by placing a strong emphasis on academic requirements.
UCA offers students a chance to compete in Gulf South Conference action with its football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and golf programs. It also offers an extensive intramurals program, which offers sports ranging from archery to volleyball. Each year, almost 3,000 students participate in intramural games.
And classes such as beginning weight training or swimming for fitness give students an opportunity to learn more about their bodies and how to properly take care of them, as well as offering them a pleasant divergence from the daily grind.
The sports program at UCA shows that, while academics are important, college is more than just books and studying. It can be fun, too.
