Summer HPER Membership

Students:
1. All full-time undergraduate and graduate students regularly enrolled at UCA are automatically HPER Center members (fees paid with tuition). All student members must possess and present a valid UCA I.D. card
2. All part-time undergraduate and graduate students who are 18 years of age and older
3. "Concurrent" enrolled students are prohibited from using the HPER Center
Faculty/Staff
1. All full-time and part-time faculty and staff are eligible to use the HPER Center. All faculty/staff must possess and present a valid UCA I.D. card.
UCA Retirees
1. Faculty and staff who have retired from the university are eligible for HPER membership. All UCA retirees must possess and present a valid UCA I.D. card.
2. The retired faculty/staff must present a UCA I.D. card to the HPER office to obtain a membership
3. A UCA retiree is any individual who has officially retired and is currently included on the retirement list provided by the Human Resources Department.
University Affiliates
1. Currently individuals residing or working with the following campus organizations are eligible to purchase a HPER Center membership

  2. Barnes and Noble
  3. College Square
  4. Oxford American
2. Memberships may be purchased at the same rate as those assessed for full-time UCA students
Family Memberships
1. Student, faculty, staff, retiree, and university affiliates are eligible to purchase memberships for spouses and dependents.
  1. Dependents under the age of 18 are eligible to use the Farris Center pool
  2. Dependents 18 to 23 may use the HPER Center
2. A family membership card will be issued to each family member (18 years and older) after payment of the fee.
3. Spouses of students, faculty, staff, retirees, and university affiliates must show their husband or wife's UCA I.D. when purchasing a family membership
4. Spouses are those persons who are recognized by the Sate of Arkansas as being legally married.
5. Dependents are those persons under the age of 23 who reside with student, faculty, staff, retiree, or university affiliate members who rely on the member for their sustenance.

Board Policy #630 provides a $4.00 per credit hour fee for students, and sets the maximum hours charged each semester. Students attending UCA in the spring semester, but not attending summer school, will be assessed a one-time summer HPER fee of $36.00 ($36.00 per spouse) to access HPER Center for May, June, July, and August (until fall classes begin). For a student's family, the fee is calculated as follows: $52.00 (spouse) and $26.00 (children), for a total of $78.00, in addition to the fee assessed for a student pursuant to Board Policy #630. **For a single parent family, the fee is calculated as follows: $26.00 (children), in addition to the fee assessed for a student pursuant to Board Policy #630.

HPER Center Guest Guidelines

GUIDELINES
Due to the large population of students, faculty and staff memberships the HPER Center must administer a guest pass limit. These guest passes will be available provided the following guidelines are met:

Photo identification is required for all guests
Guests must be 18 years or older.
Guest pass is $5 per visit.
Student, faculty, and staff (members) may purchase a maximum of two (2) guest passes at one time.
The same guest may visit the HPER Center a maximum of three (3) times each semester
Member must accompany their guests to the HPER Center and remain wit their guests while in the HPER Center.
Member is responsible for their guests while in the HPER Center. Member is responsible for any damage or stolen property.
Guests may not check out equipment.
Guest passes can only be purchased in the HPER Center office. The HPER Center office will be open one hour after the HPER Center opens and will close one hour prior to the HPER Center closing.
The HPER Center reserves the right to refuse admittance to any guest.
Guests must complete the 'Guest Informed Consent Agreement' and check that they have read our Guest Orientation Information and Guidelines.
