Deane was born and raised in a small southern town in Eastern Arkansas named DeWitt. She moved to Greenbrier shortly after high school graduation where she met her husband. They are currently raising two girls. They made a couple of moves, one to Fayetteville, and one to North Caroline, but eventually ended up at home in Greenbrier.
She began her career at UCA as secretary in the Department of Intramural Sports and Recreation in August of 1995. While working full-time, she attended UCA part-time and completed her degree in Kinesiology. In July of 2002, she became the Director of Intramural Sports.
As Director of Intramural Sports, her main responsibilities are organizing and maintaining the Intramural events at UCA. This includes everything from scheduling games, training officials, and developing new programs. One of her greatest passions for Intramural Sports is growing the extramural program at UCA and in the state. She wants to provide the students an opportunity to participate in as many activities on and off campus as possible.
