University Challenge
Who May Attend?
Super challenging students may attend. Super challenging students include all students entering fourth, fifth, and sixth grade who share an interest in science-based topics. The UCA Challenge summer program is designed to offer students an exciting curriculum not offered in many schools. We believe all students want to be challenged. UCA is ready to meet such an ambitious challenge with hands-on activities guaranteed to promote curiosity and fun.
Daily Schedule
Each course in the UCA Challenge program will be offered for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes per day. Students will choose 3 of the 4 courses offered each year. All classes will be held at the University of Central Arkansas in the Doyne Health Science Center, Lewis Science Center, and Laney Hall. The program will begin at 8:30 am and end at 2:30 pm. Morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up will be on the east side of the Lewis Science Center.
General Information
Students are encouraged to bring a backpack for their lunch and drinks. Class materials will be provided. A map of the university will be included in the registration packet to illustrate the drop-off and pick-up point for students.
Program Fees
Students attending the UCA Challenge program for the five days will pay an enrollment fee of $160. This will include enrollment in three extraordinary courses and a t-shirt.
