Verifying a Background Check or Issuance of a Teaching License:

The Arkansas Department of Education provides the following website to verify background checks (http://aregs.state.ar.us).  Note: If you receive a warning that there is a problem with the website's security certificate, please click on the option, "Continue to this website." You will need to access this website and notify the UCA licensure officer via e-mail when the background check has cleared.   The steps you will take to do this are listed below.

1. Enter the web address listed above
2. Use admin for the login and also for the password (agency is an optional login and password)
3. Click on login
4. Click on Arkansas Professional Licensure System
5. Click on Applicant Search
6. Click on Continue
7. Enter your SSN
8. Click on Search
9. Click on the white circle under select
10. Click on PL Limited View
11. Check NCBC Status (approved or pending)
