Academic Outreach Community Education offers Lifelong Learning courses.
The Division of Academic Outreach Community Education program is pleased to offer a catalog of lifelong learning courses, which provides the most convenient, affordable, and accessible career and professional development online.
These comprehensive six-week, online courses start monthly and you can work anytime and anywhere that is convenient for you. Each high-quality course includes lessons, quizzes, and a discussion area. Dedicated instructors facilitate every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.
The UCA Staff Senate encourages you to apply for funding. Apply for staff development funding for these course at: uca.edu/staffsenate/profdevfunding. Please choose courses that align with the work that you do for the university.

Pre-K Early Literacy Learning in Arkansas
Tammy Benson is an early literacy trainer for the Department of Human Services PREK ELLA project. Pre-K Early Literacy Learning in Arkansas (Pre-K ELLA) is a professional development opportunity focusing on the behaviors, skills, and concepts that are part of emerging literacy in preschool children. As Pre-K ELLA participants, early childhood professionals will participate in 30 hours of training consisting of discussion and hands-on activities relating to emerging literacy. Tammy will be conducting a five-day training for 30 preschool teachers on Oct. 12, 14, Nov. 16, 18, and Dec. 7. Email tammyb@uca.edu for registration.
