Study abroad in Florence, Italy, with the UCA Department of English! UCA Study Abroad offers a wide variety of classes for those who are interested in travelling to Florence. Among those offered are Art History: The Florentine Renaissance, Family and Consumer Sciences Workshop, History: Europe in the Age of Renaissance and Reformation, World Religions, and English: Exploring Literature in Italy.May 25 - June 24, 2007: Explore literature in Italy with Dr. Charles Bane for six hours of General Education or Upper Division credit! The cost of this course is $5,000 (including UCA tuition and fees, accomodations, airfare, international insurance, international cell phone rental fee -not minutes used, selected cultural excursions in Florence, an overnight trip to Rome, a one-day trip to Pisa, and a visa). To quote the brochure, "Coursework has been designed to take advantage of our settings, with a special focus on Italian language and literature and their influence on other societies. Although we will have a classroom, many of our discussions will take place in the museums, churches, palaces, and public squares of this historic city and its surrounding area." For more information:
