English Major Requirements

*Note: Candidates for the B.S.E. are encouraged to take Language and Grammars Studies, either as the language requirement or as an elective. B.S.E. students shall take no more than one "Language Course" in addition to the one they take to fulfill the Language Course requirement.

**Note: Candidates may present one of the following as an upper-division elective: WRTG 3301 Rhetoric and Composition; WRTG 4305 Contemporary Composition: Theory and Application; WRTG 4330 Linguistics for Educators; WRTG 4340 Teaching Creative Writing: History, Theory, and Practice.
