Major Requirements - (For majors declared after Spring of 2002)
*Note: A student may take one of the following in place of one upper division English elective: WRTG 3300 Creative Writing or WRTG 3301 Rhetoric and Composition Minor Requirements (For minors declared after Spring of 2002)

B.S.E. and B.A./Licensure in Secondary English Education(For students completing degree requirements after Spring 2002) English Major Requirements
*Note: Candidates for the B.S.E. are encouraged to take Language and Grammars Studies, either as the language requirement or as an elective. B.S.E. students shall take no more than one "Language Course" in addition to the one they take to fulfill the Language Course requirement. **Note: Candidates may present one of the following as an upper-division elective: WRTG 3301 Rhetoric and Composition; WRTG 4305 Contemporary Composition: Theory and Application; WRTG 4330 Linguistics for Educators; WRTG 4340 Teaching Creative Writing: History, Theory, and Practice. Pre-Admission Course(s) Required for all Teacher Education Candidates: 3-5 hours
Professional Education Courses: 3-6 hours
