Institutional (UCA) Scholarships
Academic Scholarships (Entering Freshman)
The University of Central Arkansas awards academic scholarships to entering freshman based on high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores. These scholarships are awarded through the Office of Student Financial Aid using your application for admission. There is no separate application for UCA Academic Scholarships.
Transfer Scholarships
The University of Central Arkansas awards transfer scholarships to students transferring from an Arkansas two-year college who meet specific requirements. This scholarship is awarded through the Office of Student Financial Aid. Transfer Scholarship information for students beginning Fall 2012 will be available in early December 2011.
Academic & Transfer Scholarships (Continuing Students)
Students who currently receive or have received an academic or transfer scholarship must meet specific scholarship requirements to maintain eligibility. The Division of Enrollment Management determines scholarship renewal and reinstatement requirements.
The UCA Foundation has established 160 endowed scholarships and awarded over $426,000 to UCA students during the 2009-2010 aid year. These scholarships are made possible by private gifts and vary considerably in dollar value and criteria, each reflecting the donor's gifts and interests.
Assistance Program for Students With Exceptional Circumstances (APSEC)The APSEC program is a scholarship program that supports students who exhibit exceptional financial need and/or extraordinary academic excellence and do not qualify for, or receive, other institutional scholarships or financial aid sufficient to attend the university or continue their education. The application deadline is July 15th for the fall semester and December 1st for the spring semester.
