WHAT IS 3MT?
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition is a platform intended for doctoral and master’s students to present their research in an interesting and brief manner to their campus, colleagues, and peers. As the name suggests, each student’s presentation should not exceed three minutes and should include only one static PowerPoint slide. You can learn more about the competition on the 3MT website.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Eligibility extends to Master’s and Doctorate students who have successfully defended their proposal or final project (including candidates whose thesis is under submission) by the date of their first presentation are eligible to participate in 3MT competitions at all levels. Graduates are not eligible.
IMPORTANT DATES
- The deadline for registration and video submission is Friday, March 15.
- Winners will be announced on Friday, April 5. – CANCELED
- The winner goes on to the regional CSGS 3MT Competition
REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION

Once you submit your registration information, you will receive a confirmation email that includes the video submission link.
