History Day
What is National History Day?
National History Day (NHD) is an educational program devoted to improving the teaching and learning of history in American schools. NHD is a meaningful way for students to study historical issues, ideas, people and events by engaging in historical research.
History Day in Arkansas is sponsored by the UCA History Department. Professor Patsy Ramsey is the state coordinator of History Day. She assists with the regional competitions throughout Arkansas, and the department hosts the state competition on our campus each spring. Winners in each category go on to the national competition in June in College Park, Maryland.
