About the History Day Arkansas - Showcase
History Day Arkansas, in cooperation with the Clinton Presidential Library, the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, and the University of Central Arkansas, invites you to join a celebration of History Day at the second annual History Day Showcase October 30, 2010.
The purpose of History Day Arkansas is to exhibit the award-winning presentations of History Day Students. Students' showcases are from the following categories:
- Live Performances
- Historical Documentaries
- Innovative Web sites
- Interpretive Exhibits
- Research Papers
Showcase Events
- Presentations by 2010 award winners (Open to the public.)
- Project Development workshop sessions for students and teachers
- Presentation for teachers by Dr. Ann Claunch, National History Day Education Specialist
- Lunch provided to students and teachers
- Reception
Reception
Honoring 2010 award winning students and their teachers. Family and friends of the award-wining students are invited to attend this special reception. Refreshments will be served. Please indicate the number of guests you will bring on the R.S.V.P. form.
Location: Choctaw Station, Clinton School of Public Service
Time: 3:00 - 4:30 pm
Cost & Registration
There is NO COST to attend the showcase. However, R.S.V.P. is required for students and teachers. Teachers attending the workshop will receive 5 hours of professional development credit.
R.S.V.P. Deadline is October 15th
Special Instructions for Students
Student presenters may enter the Clinton Presidential Center and Library through the front door security line beginning at 9:00 a.m. Please come early; all setups must be done by 9:30. A History Day staff member will be available to help students set up. Students with heavy props and exhibit boards may enter through the security gates at the back of the library between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.If you require entrance through the back of the Clinton Presidential Center and Library, please contact Dr. Pat Ramsey at 501.450.3158 or nhdarkansas@gmail.com so your name can be added to the security list.
