Carmichael Hall
Choosing a place to live is one of the biggest dilemmas that students face when attending college. Whether you are a transfer or returning student, Carmichael Hall offers a wonderful, all female, community style environment for students with diverse interests.
Why Choose Carmichael Hall?
Carmichael Hall Council sponsors a number of educational and social programs, as well as a number of annual events, such as: Adopt-a-Football Player during homecoming. Carmichael Hall staff aid in the day-to-day needs with programs to help the students develop overall. They coordinate two annual events: Dad's Day in the fall, and Mom's Weekend in the spring. Carmichael Hall is home to six Greek chapter rooms and is therefore appealing to some of the Greek community. Carmichael Hall residents are like family, supporting and befriending everyone who lives there.
What About Security?
Security is a shared responsibility between you and the University. UCA is committed to your safety and Carmichael Hall will provide you with an in-hall escort policy and 24-hour access to the UCA Police Department. You should always lock your room and keep your key, not loaning it to anyone else or hiding it somewhere in the building. Report potential security problems to residence hall staff or the police.

Students may personalize their rooms with items from home. Many residents add carpet or rugs, posters, curtains over windows, small tables, lounge chairs, storage units, televisions, computers, stereos, and refrigerators.

The front desk is staffed by Hall Assistants, who are undergraduate students, during the day and visitation hours. They monitor the lobby, act as a resource person, and serve as a receptionist.
Custodians clean common areas daily between 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The maintenance staff repairs routine problems from 8:00am to 4:45pm and is on call for emergencies.
