ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR-DEPARTMENT OF SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY
JOB DESCRIPTION: The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor for a nine month tenure-track faculty position beginning July or August, 2012. Expertise in speech science and other specializations will be considered. Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching, development of a dynamic research program, mentoring of masters’ and doctoral students and service to the department and University. UCA Speech-Language Pathology is in the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, is CAA accredited and offers the doctoral degree through a consortium in Communication Sciences and Disorders with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the University of Arkansas Little Rock. The consortium has excellent opportunities for joint appointments and research collaboration with the associated Reynolds Institute on Aging, the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and other affiliates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in speech-language pathology or related discipline; post-doctoral fellowship desirable; teaching experience; a clearly defined research agenda and research publications; CCC and eligibility for Arkansas licensure are assets. Rank and salary are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
